Mirror Mountain Film Festival is proud to be presenting the Ottawa theatrical premiere of Haitian-Canadian director Miryam Charles’ stunning and evocative debut feature film Cette maison this April 15 as part of National Canadian Film Day. This poetic and haunting feature-length film takes the viewer on an emotional journey through memory and place, traveling back through time to the 1995 Quebec referendum as political currents intertwine with a tragic event in one family’s history. We welcome groundbreaking, unconventional and alternative independent films from around the world in every style and genre, including drama, documentary, experimental, animation, dance film, spoken word / poetry, music videos and much more.
