50% of funds raised will be donated to Being Studio to support its ongoing operations
Being Studio is an Ottawa charity that creates opportunities for artists with developmental disabilities to explore visual art-making and creative writing, by providing access to the space, tools and representation needed to achieve their unique goals.
Our organizations believe that regardless of their medium of expression, artists make a valuable contribution to the cultural life of this city, and deserve to be given a platform and the means to create.
By making a contribution to our fundraising campaign, not only will you help foster local arts and culture, but you can also receive great rewards, like festival passes, special thanks on our website, a tax receipt, a beautifully-designed poster and sticker, and a Being Studio t-shirt and tote bag.
Very excited to finally reveal the full poster for our 2023 festival, happening July 21 – 23 at LabO Theatre in Arts Court! This beautiful art was drawn by talented local illustrator and graphic designer Jessica Bromley Bartram, and captures the weird and wonderful spirit of Mirror Mountain Film Festival. Keep an eye out this July – you might see it around downtown Ottawa!
Visit Jessica’s website to see more of her fantastic creative work.

We’re extremely excited to announce that we’ll be working with talented Ottawa illustrator and graphic designer Jessica Bromley Bartram this festival season! Jessica will be creating imagery for our next edition coming July 2023. Her atmospheric and fantastical style is a perfect match for Mirror Mountain Film Festival, and we can’t wait to see what she dreams up for us!
Jessica’s collection of illustrated short stories, “Ghost Water Kiss,” was published in 2019 by Popnoir Editions, and she has illustrated two picture books for Fitzhenry & Whiteside, “Charles” and “Summer North Coming,” and also written and illustrated one: “Water Water.” Her work is included in 4PANEL 2, a comics anthology by Popnoir Editions, and she has published work in Room Magazine, CAROUSEL and The Globe and Mail.
Want to get involved in our next festival? Become a sponsor of Mirror Mountain Film Festival, and your organization can be a part of the action. We’re looking to connect with dynamic, engaging, equity-seeking businesses and non-profits in the Ottawa-Gatineau region, and we’ve got creative ideas for getting your message seen and heard at our next event.
